The Week in Review

And it was a crazy week, to be sure. But let’s get to the highlights.
—————————————–
Monday – watched the Presidential debate over at the UP Theater. For me, the breakdown is:

Bottom 3 – Noynoy, JC, Bro. Eddie
Noynoy for being a disappointment, JC for being just plain wrong, and Bro. Eddie for being just plain boring.

Top 3 – Dick, Jamby, Gibo
Dick for being eloquent on the whole with only an occasional goofy moment, Jamby for mixing clarity with innuendo (“I intend to reverse that thrust.” Lady, I dunno what you mean exactly, but I’m sure I ain’t into that), and Gibo for being about the only one who knew what the hell he was doing.

Square in the middle – Villar, Perlas
Villar almost winding up in the bottom due to fairly broad statements and sprinkling words like “Yumaman, mahirap, malinis” onto his sentences (although his supporters pretty much ate it up, it seemed).
Perlas nearly winding up on top because he held up well for somebody doing so poorly in the polls, but missing a spot because of his rather hasty dismissal of poll results. He should have stopped at saying some of his support has yet to surface; claiming polls don’t indicate anything, though? I mean, seriously, isn’t that kind of the point?

No show – Erap
I mean, apparently he had other arrangements and all, but mainly he didn’t show up because the host was biased against him. Whut?

Friday, and the weekend

I had to drive my sister around because she’d come in from the hospital. Nothing serious, but she can’t exactly drive herself, so that’s ok. That kinda pushed back an evening date, but (hopefully) I didn’t get too pissy about out, and everything got done.

Usually I get guilty about leaving the family to spend the weekend in QC, but on Friday, I really felt like I earned that one. Got to the condo at around 11 pm, watched TV shows while sipping on some white wine. Which we opened with our bare hands.

Most epic Valentine’s Day/Weekend ever.
